About Us

True U Tattoo was founded in 2010 after I stepped away from a welding career and returned to the creative path that had always been part of me. Tattooing became the natural meeting point between artistry and mechanics—my background working with machines shaped a steady, intentional approach that continues to evolve with every piece I create.
My skills and style were developed through years of learning, mentorship, experience, and trust—both in myself and from the people who believed in my work early on. Alongside tattooing, my background in retail management led me to study small business operations, giving True U Tattoo a foundation rooted in both creativity and care. Like the art itself, the business has grown through experience, unlearning, and refinement.
In 2015, our journey was forever changed with the unexpected loss of our first child, Alice. During this time I was 6 months pregnant with our daughter Izzy and in a time of deep grief and uncertainty, While dealing with some of the darkest challenges I will ever face my space became something more than a workplace—it became a place of healing on a grander scale. Clients carrying their own losses and experiences of bereavement found their way here during that time, and through creating art with and for them, I found purpose, humility, and massive spiritual growth. That chapter shaped the heart of True U Tattoo and became the catalyst of honoring stories, holding space, and creating meaningful work.

The True U Tattoo Family
True U Tattoo is, at its core, a family-built space. What began as a personal journey has grown into a shared vision rooted in calm, presence, and respect. As a studio, we are intentional about the energy we hold and the experience we create. Many clients speak to the sense of peace they feel here—whether they are in the chair or simply walking through the door.
My husband Chris has been my strongest supporter from the very beginning and is now an active part of the studio through piercing and engraving. Together, we are building a business that supports creativity, connection, and growth—both for our family and for the community we serve. We hope our journey shows our daughters Isabelle and Elleana that passion is worth pursuing-even in a world that tries to dim your light.
Looking ahead, we see True U Tattoo as a living, evolving business. We carry a clear vision for growth—expanding our offerings, refining our craft, and exploring new ideas—while staying grounded in intention, integrity, and the human stories entrusted to us.
